Inaccuracy of Plato
The works of Plato cause a lot of argues because their authenticity is doubtful as sometimes even friends of Plato not always believed him.
According to scientists the time of Atlantis existence mentioned in the works of Plato is absolutely wrong because they say that there was the ice age 8 thousand years ago and there could be no developed civilization at the time described by Plato or they were the prehistoric people in caves.
And of course it seems to be unreal that the whole civilization died in one day especially if it was so developed. Nevertheless the majority of investigators consider that Atlantis really existed.
But even some defects of the story of Plato don't stop investigators in their searches of Atlantis. But Plato was the writer and poet that is why he could probably add some interesting facts to the story describing it in more romantic and poetic features. It is also necessary to remember that Plato wrote down the story heard from Solon that heard this story from the Egyptian priest.
Put the experiment and choose a few people for it. Then right down any phrase on the paper and put it away till the end of experiment. Then ask one person to enter the room, tell him/her the phrase and leave the room. This person must tell the same phrase to another person, etc. Write down the phrase that will be pronounced by the last person. And look into the paper written in the beginning of the experiment. These will be completely different phrases.
This experiment proves that we shouldn't believe Plato blindly but it is not the reason not to believe him.
