Somewhere in the ocean
If to consider the question where Atlantis was situated there can be thousands of theories. Some scientists consider that it should be looked for in the Atlantic Ocean and in its central part in particular between Europe and North America as according to Plato this country was situated there. Moreover these parts of land have a lot of the same plants and animals.
Besides, there was the mountain range found on the ocean flour in the central part of the Atlantic Ocean that is situated near to the big plateau. Maybe this region was the continent once and died in the ocean in the result of geological catastrophe nearly 12 years ago at the time when Atlantis existed and when the last ice age ended.
There is also one more proof that America and Africa was one continent long time ago. Pay attention to the Eastern line of South America and the West line of Africa. Even put the experiment, take the paper and try to make the same outlines putting the paper over the atlas and redrawing them. Then using the scissors cut out the received form. And then unite the two pictures. Africa and South America will practically fully coincide making the full picture not considering the lines influenced by the sea during the centuries.
Nevertheless scientists claim that there is simply no place for Atlantis in the Atlantic Ocean as everything that exists in the Atlantic Ocean is the result of natural activity.
