Troy as the lost Atlantis

There was an interesting version proposed by the German scientists Zanger that supposed that the story of Plato is nothing more than the changed memory about the great Troy.
This city described by Gomer was also considered to be the myth for a long time. But in 1871 the remains of Troy were found by the German investigator Schlieman. The scientist gives a lot of similar points between Atlantis and Troy basing on the descriptions made by Plato and Gomer especially the descriptions of the territory nature where Troy was situated.
First of all there was the strong Northern wind in Atlantis that was not typical for the Mediterranean except the winds of the Black Sea. According to descriptions there were two sources in Atlantis that was the hot one and the cold one. The same sources Troy had.
The brass was made in Atlantis. In ancient time this metal was made only in one place situated near Troy. The size of the central part of the Atlantis city is five square kilometres (according to Plato). The same size the complex of Troy has.
The maritime power of Atlantis was based on 1200 ships according to Plato and the Navy of Troy made 1185 ships according to Gomer. In Atlantis the main channel that was stretched from the sea to the royal palace had the same length as the same channel in Troy. According to Plato Atlantis was covered by the great number of channels. So is Troy.
